It was lots of fun decorating our first tree together. Even Diesel decided to help =)

Chris, Jen, & Cole Visit
O and we visited my hospital too.=)
On Thanksgiving, I had to work at the hospital. Everyone brought in a dish to share so we still had a nice feast. Seth woke up early that morning and went downtown with some of the kids from the church and served a wonderful thanksgiving meal to some families in need. Jerry and Cindy had Seth over later that day for a nice thanksgiving meal. I was able to grab a quick bite to eat there when I got off work and then I came home to have Chris, Jen and Cole arriving at our house, yaay! It was so great to see them. We took them downtown and it was fun. Then we went to the Christmas tree farm with them to pick out and cut down our very first Christmas tree. =)
Halloween
One of the doctors at work hosted a Halloween party at his house downtown Charleston. What a sweet house. It was a lot of fun. The theme was something along the line of...Madams and Monks, Tarts and Vicars, Darlings and Deacons...etc. Seth was Friar Tuck and well I was a Pirate. P.S. Supergirl is Rose, my amazing preceptor I always talk about, love her.

Seth's Motorcycle
So the running joke is that I am wearing Seth's last motorcycle on my finger. Its a beautiful one. =) Well now he has a new project, Seth got a 1979 Honda Motorcycle. Its been a lot of fun for him to fix up. He's feeling like a man again he says. He is so talented, he literally rebuilt the engine with another guy from our church. He would come home smelling like oil and working in a garage and would refuse to shower because "I smell like a man" he would say. ha ha Anyway, we finally took it for its first ride...yaay! Except it gets a little colder up here now, so we only made it about 25 miles, but it was still fun. We are looking forward to some warmer rides in the spring.

September 1985
September 1985...
The titanic was found...Pete Rose gets his 4, 192nd career base hit, breaking Ty Cobbs record which stood for over 60 years...The Super Mario Bros. video game was released by Nintendo..
and I was born!!! In a small Army General Hospital in Stuutguart, Germany...My parents favorite story, the day their first girl was born. Its a sweet story. It wasnt until this year that I really have thought about it how cool that is to be the first girl. Especially being married now, you find yourselves having those "what about kids?" conversations for real. Weird. Well, its the first time I have had a birthday where I didn't exactly make dinner reservations for fifteen to twenty or arrange for a big celebration at our house. It was just me and my wonderful husband. Seth, did a wonderful job making it special though. I woke up to fresh baked cinnamon rolls, fresh cup of coffee, a fun spiderman theme decorated dining room...table cloth, streamers, masks, the whole shebang. And fresh red roses...they matched. It was super cute. Then him and I took a trip to Cypress Gardens where we paddled a canoe around the swamp. It was really pretty. Yup, its the same swamp The Notebook was filmed...you know the scene where they are on the water in the boat and it starts pouring rain...and they...well you know, the incredibly romantic scene. It was close to that. =) There was a butterfly garden too. We had fun. Then that night we got dressed up and went downtown. We ended up just doing the appetizer hopping thing but it was so fun. We started at this really awesome place called the Rooftop Pavillion. It was a very classy place on the roof of a ritzy hotel and it overlooked the river, it was beautiful. Then we walked around some more. We had a lot of fun together. I can't believe how much has happened in the last year of my life...my nephew Cole was born, I got engaged, I graduated college, I got married, I moved to a new state, I am now a Registered Nurse, I have a new puppy and a husband...its been a crazy year, a lot of change, but it's been a really great ride. I do miss my family and friends very much though! I love you all! I think about you everyday!

Diesel got his hair did
Well when Diesel first came home as a puppy one of our favorite things about him, besides being absolutely adorable and super playful...we loved his dark black fur on his back. It was unique, since most yorkies have gray hair. Well what we realized was just like for us, the gray comes with age. Not cool. So we decided to do something about it. Yup, Diesel and Seth had a hair dying party. It was quite the task to have that little ball of energy lie still for twenty minutes (thats Diesel by the way, not Seth). Longest twenty minutes of my life...He wasnt the happiest little puppy at that point. It was worth it though, he's a little stud now, getting all the other dog's attention. =)
